“Chasing the clouds” is the name given to a new project in immunotherapy that could benefit people suffering from colorectal cancer or ovarian cancer, among others.

In simple terms, the cells of these cancers have the particularity of producing certain proteins in very large quantities, forming clusters of clouds that neutralise our immune system. The Foundation Fournier-Majoie has chosen to support the project of the start-up Apmonia Therapeutics, which is developing an immunotherapeutic treatment that will precisely chase away these clouds to allow our T lymphocytes to attack and kill the harmful cells.

We have committed to a first phase of EUR 375,000 needed to reach a key milestone in the development of this future treatment.
This will be quickly followed by a second phase of EUR 525,000 to bring the project into clinical phase.
